sp 4 DAVID BAUSCH, US ARMY of TOWACO, N.J. and BOONTON HIGH SCHOOL

I knew DAVID BAUSCH, and he was 2 years ahead of me at BOONTON HIGH SCHOOL. MY SENIOR YEAR, I was the SRA ( student government) President, and when we found out of his loss in Vietnam , I was the the SRA officer giving "this morning's announcements" over the school public address system early that morning. When I asked for a moment of silence . YOU could hear a pin drop . I THINK of that moment often. The normally raucous school kids were very respectful and sad. R.I.P. Soldier. Very Respectfully, T Strother, LCDR, USN (ret) .

My Dear Older Brother Dave ...

His path to find his way in life led him to Vietnam. I'll never forget the day the soldiers in uniform came to our door to tell us of his fate. That was the day the Vietnam war came out of the television and into our personal lives.
