Thank You

Dear Lt John Lake, Thank you for your service as a Rotary Wing Aviation Unit Commander - Helicopter Pilot. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is Leap Year Day. For many of us, we have begun Lent. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

50th Anniversary/Commemoration

On Memorial Day 2017, it was 50 years since John celebrated his graduation from Augustana College (1967). Concomitantly, there is a 50th year commemoration of the Vietnam War (from Memorial Day 2012 through Veterans Day 2025). John was very smart, caring, and industrious; and he’s been greatly missed.

JOHN LAKE JR.

JOHN...IT'S BEEN 52 YEARS SINCE WE GRADUATED NORLAND HIGH. WE WERE GOOD FRIENDS, BUT WENT OUR SEPARATE WAYS TO COLLEGE. MY BROTHER, WHOM ALSO GRADUATE FROM NORLNAD IN 1972, RECENTLY STOPPED BY THE OLD SCHOOL & TOOK A PHOTO OF THE WALL OF REMEMBRANCE, & I SAW YOUR NAME & GOT OUT THE OLD YEARBOOK. IT BROUGHT BACK FOND MEMORIES OF OUR DAYS AT NORLAND. I'M SO SAD THIS HOLIDAY SEASON TO SEE YOU DIDN'T MAKE IT TO OLD AGE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
