Continued prayers

Melvin is a cousin to my husband. Never had the honor to meet him but thoughts and prayers are with him. God bless him and all who served.

Continued Prayers

Met Mel one time in Dec. 67. His younger brother, Tim, and I were in AFROTC together in college. Over a Christmas vacation, Tim and I "base hopped" and got to see Mel at George AFB. Though Tim and I have not kept in touch over the years, I always think of Mel when Vietnam is discussed. Also, during my AF career as a fighter pilot, Mel was in my thoughts and prayers -- as he is today.

I was about 8 or 9 when I received his bracelet. Not sure how long after I recieved a white sticker with a blue star to put on the bracelet.I purchased a Mercy Band with my cousins name on it.She perished at the WTC Attacks on 9/11.I went to my jewelry box and took out Capt. Ladewig's bracelet.I just need info to send his bracelet to a family member.

Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:
