I worked with Jim at Udorn AB Thailand 1968-69 and also paled around
together. We both had a interest in photography which occupied our
spare time. Also I work in the same crash recovery unit where Jim lost
his life. Jim loved his wife and daugther very much. Wanted to make this
conttact and if you want to talk more I would be glad to.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SGT James Robert Weisler, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

Jim
Jimmy was a neat funny guy. He and my sister, Mel, were great together. He left our world too early.

We lived in the same hooch and shared a lot of good times talking about families. I took his photo the night before he was killed.
