6 Degrees of Separation

It is true. We are all just 6 degrees apart; if only we could live peacefully we would not have to write remembrance for our fallen heroes.

Today in my thrift store shopping there was a MIA braclet in a bag of miscellaneous jewerly. It upset me so that I bought the bag. When I searched the internet I found with a heavy heart that SPEC 4 Bauer did not come home. So many of my friends and family are in heaven too.

If you would like I will send this braclet to you. I no longer need one to remind me of what our heroes give to us. Blessing to you and yours.
This summer we are coming to Alaska on a cruise; six degrees . . .

I am family of Richard Bauer

I married Richards brother Robert "Bob" Bauer. In honor of Richard we named our son with his name. To never forget his sacrifice. War is a horrible thing and the death of Richard did not just destroy him. Because of their grief, both his parents turned to alchohol and died before their time. It left a scar on Bob and he died at age 35. But we have two grown kids who are a honorable and faithful. We live and remember not only Richard but the families who have paid deeply serving this country and freedom. Picture here is Richard with his mom as a young child

I remember Richard Bauer from basic training when we thought we would make the difference in that war how naïve. I'm sorry to hear what happened with you and want you to know you are always in my thoughts especially when I get in my somber mode and my brain goes in the re run stage.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP5 Richard Gene Bauer, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
