REMEMBRANCES

LEFT FOR JOHN FREDERICK ANTHONY
POSTED ON 5.1.2015

He would want you to go on

You can shed tears that he is gone
or you can smile because he lived.

You can close your eyes and
pray that he’ll come back
or you can open your eyes
and see all that he has left.

Your heart can be empty
because you can’t see him
or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back
on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.

You can remember him
and only that he is gone
or you can cherish his memory
and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back
or you can do what he would want;
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

We Will Remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL John Frederick Anthony, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Hi old friend!

Thank you for the service you gave! Proud to have known you ! Cant seem to forget our younger years growing up at St Stephen while at the stucco building. Remember your friend riding by on his bike and shouting " hey Firp get to work". Class would get quite and the nun was speechless!!
