A SCOUTS HONOR

As a former Boy Scout Leader in Selbyville, Delaware, Tommy Adam's home town, I wanted to honor him today, Memorial Day 2014, by letting his family know that one of the gold stars on the BSA Troop #179 is in honor of his service to our country. Several years ago I did some research and found that Tommy's father, Berl, was also a Scoutmaster. Tommy was a Scout but I can't remember how far he advanced. Thanks to my recently deceased friend and fellow Scoutmaster, Walton Johnson Jr for helping us honor Tommy this way.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear 1LT Thomas B Adams, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

To a friend

As Memorial Day approaches I remember Tommy as a friend. I appreciated his humor and the fun he always had surrounding him when I knew him. Thank you Tommy.
