do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

On this Memorial Day

My dad, Lawrence Saula, served with you during the war. While he never spoke much about about his time overseas, he did talk about his friend Leo who didn't come home. While on a trip to DC I visited the Vietnam Memorial, made a rubbing of your name and took it home to him. He cried. It was at that moment 40 some years later I realized how much your death impacted him. RIH

With respect,
Beth DeLong

Thank You

Dear PFC Leo Krumbine, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Your 54th anniversary is soon, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is President’s Day Weekend. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Leo,

I think of you often and wonder what you would have become had you been allowed to live, had I not made you my radio man putting you in the command group when the claymore went off. Sorry dude. You and the others live on in my "Survivor's guilt".

Lost Cousin

I just submitted a picture of my cousin Butch (Leo Krumbine). He is sitting on the porch of his home on 28th and Michigan in Milwaukee. I'm the oldest youngster on the right so I don't remember much, I do still think of him on occasion. I've been to The Wall in DC several times and saw his name there...it breaks my heart.
