He showed me the ropes

James was the one that was assigned to show me my duties as an MP when I arrived in B Btry, 6th of the 56th. I arrived March 31st, 1968. In early morning April 1st we had incoming rockets. I carry James' name, date of death, and location on the wall in my wallet. By: Sgt E5, Danny W. Owens, Sikeston, Mo.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 James Edward Kralowski, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Thoughts at home

Jim-
You were the last guy I shook hands with at Btry B-6th Bn of the 56th Arty, then I got the letter about you and the other guys in May 1968.
In 1998, I was finally able to write a poem about you. I have a tape with your voice on it. Have tried to track down the kid you had, while we were over there-no go, yet.
No matter, you're not forgotten pal, R.I.P..
