KIA 24 March 1970. Distinguished Flying Cross: Shot down and Killed while attempting to rescue 8 fellow soldiers surrounded by attacking enemy forces.

Filling in the Details

Spec 4 Knorr was serving as an acting motor sgt with the 6th Bn, 29th Arty, 4th Inf Div on a vehicle recovery mission in the Central Highlands when the group he was with was ambushed. He is remembered by the comrades he served with.
