I helped Ron finish the T-37B Pilot Training program at Moody AFB, Georgia. We worked overtime on weekends so he could achieve his goal. He is a friendly and caring person.
Decades later, our beloved son, Ben, wrote a short story based on Ron's life. See Ben's short story, Dragon, is at http://www.blountweb.com/ben/dragon.htm
c/Major Benjamin Andrew Quillen at http://www.blountweb.com/ben Ben flew the T-37 flight simulator at Columbus AFB, MS in August, 1997, the first time I flew it since 1970. GOD takes HIS young ministers to show how serious HE is about justice and to remove them from the evil to come (1 Peter 4:12-19; Isaiah 57:1-2).

A friend
During 1969, Ron and I both served as pilots on the EC47 at Nha Trang and Phu Cat Air Bases. We played tennis together and enjoyed other light moments. He was a very good man who had a nice sense of humor. I remember him daily in my prayers.
