Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just four days after your 21st birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Daniel, it has been 50 years since you gave all for your country. I served in Nam in 65-66. I want you to know that your fellow brothers remember you and your sacrifice. RIP hero.

I only knew you for a year but you were my best friend for that year. We spent many hours talking about many things that were important to young nineteen year olds. You wrote and said you were drafted and I was so ashamed that I was in the National Guard that I couldn't write and tell you. Then later in life I went on Active Duty and tried to find you and found out you had been killed. It is very true that the good die young.
