I Do Remember...

I was with Tom in Basic Training, AIT and then a month at Ft. Lewis before being deployed to Nam. Easy going and soft spoken, one of those people liked by all. I think of him and others often. I’ve been chosen to travel on the Badger Honor Flight to D.C. this Saturday, May 20 and I will be visiting Panel 52E, Line 39 to honor Tom’s memory.

Dear Uncle Tom

Your brother Michael was 11 when you passed away. He honored your memory by bestowing his first born with your namesake. Despite having never met, you have been ever-present in my life. From as far back as I have memories, I've known the importance of your service and the sacrifice you made. Your courage serves as an example for me to live up to. Thank you.

Tom Klausing

It’s been over 50 years that you lost your life in Vietnam. You and I were good friends that worked together at Continental Airlines at O’Hare Airport.
You were one great guy and friend and I shall always remember you as well as the world’s loss.
