Guarding the Gates of Heaven!

Dear SSgt. Kipina,

I have had the honor of wearing an original bracelet which came out in your name and I also have one which I obtained when I visited your name at the Wall. I have never forgotten you, your hometown, or your sacrifice. You and your family have always been in my prayers!

As a military dependent, I graduated from High School on Okinawa. As a Red Cross candy striper, I helped serve the first injured at Sukiran Army Hospital. It is good that the memorial foundation will not allow your sacrifice to be forgotten!! The youth of today must learn about you and all the others who serve/d.

You are not only a hero, sir, you are a role model for courage. I know God holds you in the palm of His hand! Thank you!

Respectfully,

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Marshall Frederick Kipina, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

The Next Generation

My parents in Wellington, New Zealand wore a POWMIA bracelet with Marshall Frederick Kipina on it. When I was born on 28 August 1973 they gave me your first name: Marshall. RIP Marshall.
