Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC George Samuel Kimmell, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

You Are Truly Missed

My name is Phoenix Marr and I am a senior at Gridley High School in Gridley, Illinois. My history teacher challenged all of his students to write remembrances for those of the men and women whose lives were taken while fighting for this country. Our project is now known as the Gridley High School Posting Project. I especially want to show my appreciation toward George, who put forth his life to serve our country. Your strength and bravery are to be remembered. I did not know you personally, but I know that you were a great man who is truly missed! God Bless!
