Thank You
Dear CWO William Kersey, Thank you for your service as an Attack Helicopter Pilot with the 1st Cavalry. The 50th anniversary of the start of your tour was 4 days ago, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Thanksgiving just passed, so this is the perfect time to say thanks. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Friend
Bill and I had been in flight school together (Class 69-25, 9th WOC, Tan Hats). He was older and had already been to Viet Nam. In Viet Nam he was in the 1st Cav at Tay Hinh and I was with the 118th AHC at Bien Hoa. He was flying Cobras and I was flying "Charlie" Models. He would come down to Bien Hoa and stay in my air conditioned room and enjoy the amenities at the air base. He gave me the only ride I ever had in a Cobra. We were supposed to go on R&R together to Bangkok in September. I waited a long time in Saigon but he never showed. I went to Hawaii instead and found out there of his death. He was a good friend and is missed.
