honoring you...

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

B&V Billiards

Met Bruce when I hung out in the pool room in Chelsea. He was a really nice person. My Aunt Carol, by marriage to my mother’s brother, was Bruce’s cousin. I was only 15 when Bruce gave his life for our country. Rest in Peace.

Thank You

Dear PFC Bruce Kennedy, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Your 51st anniversary just passed, sad. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Thanksgiving is in a few days, so this is the perfect time to say thanks. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Left me his final thoughts. I will never forget them

I bumped into Bruce in the mess hall one morning. Surprised we were in the same unit only different companies. Both grew up in Chelsea and were good friends. That morning Bruce told me he was not going to make it home. I tried to get him to not think negative. Told him he would be fine. 2 weeks later I read his KIA report in my Communications stuff. He was right. Wish he was wrong. That always hurts. Rest in peace my Brother. You went through hell. Semper Fi.
