Ground Casualty
PFC Dennis J. Kempf was a rifleman serving with Headquarters, 1st Combined Action Group, Combined Action. On November 3, 1969, PFC Kempf died near Da Nang, Quang Nam Province, RVN, when he drowned while recreational swimming in the South China Sea. His body was recovered.
