honoring you...

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your cousin Joseph Remiszewski is poignant. As long as you are remembered you will remain in our hearts forever....

To My Cousin

I still miss you ,Greg. I still think about what we may have done together when you got back. I remember watching you approaching the plane to leave us for your duty to 'Nam, pausing, turning around and saluting us before you walked up the stairs into the plane. I just read your last letter.Ironically, I'd just finished reading that Saturday morning when our phone rang ( I think it was Uncle George ) telling us that you were taken from us. My heart was crushed. The last sentence of that letter said "Take care Joe, we have a lot of things to do when I get back to the world". We were more than cousins. I felt we were real friends. Rest in peace. Joe

Appreciation from a Nephew

Dear Uncle Gregory,

I wish I had gotten to know you but I was very young when you passed. I appreciate your life and sacrifice through family members who’ve shared fond memories of you. With respect and admiration, John

Cecropia Moth

Thinking of you today on Memorial Day, Gregory. I was young and I don’t have a lot of memories of you, other than you working on your car often. Once you captured a Cecropia moth for me, that was attracted to the lights when you were working on your car in the driveway at night. I was probably 11 or 12 at the time. Thank you for your act of kindness to a child and for your service Gregory.

Blessings to you both today.

Su amigo: Jody
