Hi John,

There is hardly a day that goes by John when I don't think of you Billy Mckim and Keith Jackson . You and I were exchanging letters when one came back to me that you were KIA. We were going to hook up you said this place is not that big. When I got home I went over to your home and had Champagne with your Mom and Dad they were saving for you. I wish we could have had that glass together.Your name is on my Colorado Viet Nam Veterans license plate.I visited the veterans memorial on Railroad Ave and I think they gave you one more year of life that you were deprived of I know the date is 11/08/1967. I think the memorial stated 1968. I'm going to reach out to Mari and Gregg and see if we can get 11 St. renamed to Kapeluck St. Rest easy John

Always Remembered

John, I remember you because of my friendship with your brother Greg. You had a strength in your presence that I can still feel today, as great as the sadness I felt on hearing of your great sacrifice. For myself, my family, and my country, I thank you John, and all our brave men in the services, who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our shores and freedoms. You will always be remembered.
