honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You died at 18 years of age. I am 73 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

My Late fathers best friend Sgt. Miguel A. Sanchez Sr. joined the Marine Crops togther
George Juarez and my late father Sgt. Miguel A. Sanchez Sr. were best friends.
They went to El Rancho Highschool together. They played football together they were in a car club together. They both decided to enlist in the Marine Corps. They went to San Diego Camp Pendleton boot camp together. They were a like in many ways. Both handsome men and very liked by the ladies. George Juarez lost his life in Vietnam early. It devastated my father the loss of George his best friend. He felt the emptiness of losing his best friend whom he considered his brother. They were both interviewed on the Radio in LA I have a copy of the Reel to Reel. They were both invited to share their story why they decided to join the Marine corps the radio station. I have the reel to reel and haven’t been able to listen to it if anyone has a reel to reel player I’d love to hear it. The two 18 year olds George Juarez and Miguel Sanchez sharing why they decided to join the Marine Corps. My father would take me with him every chance he could to visit the Vietnam wall and would pull out a paper to etch George Juarez name. He would pray for George and try to honor him anyway he could. I am forever grateful for their bravery. My deep condolences to Juarez family.
