Thank You

Dear Sp4 William Johnson, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 William Charles Johnson, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

Vietnam Traveling Wall in Eden (LeaksvilleSprayDraper) NC

The Vietnam Traveling Wall is in Eden NC(formally Leaksville NC)this weekend. Billy lived with his grandmother, Mrs. Boone, in Leaksville when he enlisted in the Army. A veteran who served with Billy in Vietnam came to the locator desk asking for the location of Billy's name on the Wall yesterday. The only info he had was the name 'Boone' and that he was from Leaksville. Just so happens I was working at the locator desk, and knew both Mrs. Boone and Billy. Hindsight is 2020, and I failed to get this veterans name, e-mail address, or anything. If you happen upon this page, please contact me at [email protected]. Billy has a sister who was born after he was killed in Vietnam. I know she would love to make contact with you. The response to the Traveling Wall in Eden has been overwhelming by the public and veterans. Thank you, Billy, and all veterans for your service to our country.
