Photos

At the present time, there are only 4 photos of Donnie:
1. As a small child;
2. On a park bench with family;
3. With fiancee, Gretchen; and
4. Looking handsome in a suit!
Miss his smiling face.

Thinking of you ...

Wanted to post pic and checked site to see if I was successful.
Looks like I need to try again. :((
When accessing your information, I suddenly realized that there are 25 other (non-related) BARRETT's on the wall. For the record, there is even one with the same name Donald with no middle name indicated. He is 3 years younger and died in 1970. So many died so young.
Never forgotten and remembered with love always, forever in my heart.

Message to my big brother

Donnie was my cute, older brother, however, all my brothers are cute. :))
Donnie was closer in age to me than my other brothers and all my girl friends thought he was especially cute and wanted to meet him.
Donnie was the perfect role model.
Good student, kind person, humble, loving, generous & considerate son, brother. & friend. Everyone who knew Donnie, truly loved Donnie.
Highly doubtful that anyone could find anything bad to say about him.
Our family & friend's lives were forever changed after Donnie's death.
He will never be forgotten and always remembered with love & gratitude.
Gone too soon. Miss you! Forever in my heart. Much love always.
xoxo

To a great man who gave his life for his country. Love you always Don.

Laura Barrett You know when someone dies people suddenly turn the decease into a saint when they were not? Well I can honestly say that Donnie was one of the nicest guys I ever have met. Donnie was always thinking and helping others ( mom), but he was also fun-loving guy to be around. I'm sure he had some faults, but I never seen them .

Gretchen Dittman-Haag What more can I say? Don was truly one of the good guys. Fun, caring, loving, considerate; the list goes on. He still lives in the hearts of those of us he left behind.
