Specialist 4 Edward A. Johnson, Jr. was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroism and extraordinary achievement while engaged in aerial flight. He served as a Flight Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice and Helicopter Crewman. He was assigned to C TRP, 7TH SQDN, 17TH CAVALRY, 1ST AVIATION BDE.

Dear Sp4 Edward Johnson, Thank you for your service as a Flight Qualified Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice. Your 71st birthday was this month, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the last day of summer. The time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
