NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

To My Cousin, My Friend

Thank you Paul Edwin for sacrificing your all to keep America free. I will always remember my sweet and tender hearted cousin, who was more like a brother when we were so young growing up in Parkin, Arkansas. You were called to serve your country but our Lord called you home to serve in his mighty army in heaven. One day, I will see you again and tell you how proud and thankful I am to have known you. Always remembering you, Sherry.

A childhood memory

I was 5 years old when Paul died for his country. He was a good friend of my parents, and like an uncle to me. I remember after he left for war, he no longer came to our house for a visit. I missed him because he was a secial person. I remember the day my parents learned of his death. There were a lot tears that day. I didn't understand what had happened. It was my first introduction to the tragedy of war. W.L. Arnold
