Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Paul Edwin Adams, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

To my uncle Paul

You were and always will be a larger than life hero to me. The time we spent together was too little but the memories I have are many. I'll never forget you.

My Bunk Mate at Ft.Ord

You were my bunk mate and fellow squad leader at Ft. Ord in the summer and fall of 1967...and you were dead before I even got to Viet Nam. You were handsome, fun and a leader. I think of you every single time I think of that war...which has been and is often. Thanks for what you gave for our country!

To my brother

Paul was the perfect brother never selfish and always giving and caring. For this reason he sacrificed his life for so many others without question. I know his memory will never cease in the minds of everyone who was fortunate to know and love him.
