Never Forgotten
Dennis Jerdet you will never be forgotten by me as long as I live. You and I grew up together as kids and after Highschool we went our separate ways but I still thought about what you were doing. I entered the Army in 1966 then in 1967 I servrd my country in Vietnam then in August of 1968 I heard you were in country when I was getting close to leaving in September. I still remember when when your mother called my mom and told her that you had been killed. I still feel quilt that I returned home without a scratch. I will always honor you every memorial day. You are missed by your Brother and Sister very much.

I will never forget!
I will never forget the day I heard the news about you being killed in action. I was home on leave from Vietnam and I have felt so much quilt that I came home and you didn't. But I will never forget you cousin Dennis. You and I grew up together until I volunteered for the Army lost contact with you and never saw you again. You will always be apart of me as long as I live. Rest In Peace brother You will never be forgotten. I salute you!!!!

Austin State Junior College
I appreciated Dennis' quiet encouragement as I struggled my freshman year. We often connected in activities prior to college and I recall his gentleness and kindness, and wry wit. I have thought of him many times over the years and still remain saddened that he missed out on additional years here on earth.
