honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear PFC Larry Jenkins, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It's the end of summer. The time passes quickly. It is the anniversary of Terror Attacks against America, and it is too sad. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

My cousin

Your Dad was my Dad's 1st cousin. I never knew you since I was out of the army and 32 years old when you died in service. The family honors their heroes. I have visited your grave at Rosemary church. Rest in peace my fine young cousin. You are remembered by family as a man devoted to family and country.

Family

Today is October 16, 2015. Today the Traveling Vietnam Wall made its way to 29 Palms CA. I remember as a kid my Dad Bo Jenkins telling me we had a Cousin on that wall. I never had a chance to meet you but I do respect your sacrifice for this Country. Today my 11 year old Daughter searched for and found your name on the wall and sent a photo to me showing me what she had found. So rest well because your family will never forget you and all you have done. Semper Fi from this Marine is like Hooah to the Army, guard the pearly gates until we can all meet!
