From my Father to Garth

He never found out what happened to you Garth. He spoke about you when we talked over beers. He thought you were a fine officer and a honorable man. You thought of others before yourself. My father died in 2001 but I still hold the rememberance torch in our family.

If I should die...remembrances for CAPT. Clive Garth JEFFS, USAF...who made the ultimate sacrifice!!

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone,m who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.

You're Not Forgotten

I remember that sad day you did not return from your flight and the simple twist of fate that took you from us. You were a good man as I remember, kind to the noncoms that worked with you, I being one of them. You are remembered often.

I still wear his bracelet...

I have been wearing his bracelet since the 1970s and yesterday went to see the "Moving Wall" and found his name. He is not forgotten.
