You gave your life and I lived. I have the pain of the memory of that day. I remember the patrol. I remember the stream of water. I remember the weapon as it took aim at us. I remember the roar, as the entire mag was emptied. I remember seeing you. I remember as we ran with your body. I remember loading you into the chopper as we gave fire and received it. The pain and sorrow still exist...Semper Fi my friend, until we meet again in another battle field.
