fallen brother

I was stationed with jerry in Vietnam and he was a friend of mine we called him TATTER BECAUSE HE WAS FROM ID.

The day he was killed he was in a tent playing cards and
he was hit by a 122 rocket and thankfully never knew what hit him ,ironically I was in formation getting the word that we would be pulling out of Vietnam !
Rest in peace brother !

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PFC Jerry Antone Hurianek, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter

You Were Like a Younger Brother to Me

Still miss you Jerry. I'll never forget our time together in Seattle - doing your laundry, cooking you meals and our late night rides to Idaho for me to see the doctor. I was so mad at you when you used the baby blanket I made for the baby to cover up with while I drove all night to get to Idaho! You were some-times a pain in my but, but I loved you dearly and will always miss you. Ron and I still laugh at some of your antics!
