THE WALL OF FACES

Leon was a leader on the football field and a team player who was respected and loved by all his coaches, teammates, teachers and friends. I remember the night before you left but unlike others who served was not there to greet you on your return. Sadly, the team stood at your grave in solemn remembrance and grief, the miracle first ever Blue Devil football team of 1966 that finished on top of their league. What legends are made of; you will live forever in our hearts. Your bravery would never be questioned. Killed in action on point.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

We thank you for your help in the war. Thank you. They say know one has ever died as long as they rembered

DEAR PFC BARNARD,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A GRUNT. IT STATES YOU DIED ON THE BIRTHDAY - BIG SIGH. WATCH OVER OUR NATION. VETERANS' DAY JUST PASSED - SO IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER AND HONOR ALL OF YOU. THANKSGIVING IS APPROACHING. WE GIVE THANKS FOR YOU. MAY THE SAINTS AND ANGELS GUIDE YOU. REST IN PEACE.

Dear PFC Leon Edward Barnard, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
