Not Forgotten
I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.
We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Always a glint in his eye
This is Bill Joyce. Carter and I were very good friends our last two years at the Citadel. He always had a glint in his eye and was a great friend and. We had many good times at the Citadel and the last time I saw him he was on his way to Otis AFB for training. He had just married Gay and they had a baby on the way. He stayed at my house in the Bronx with several other Cid grads on their way as well to Otis. It was a fun night and we told stories and drank a few. I'll always remember him , and like Donnie, I'll bet he might still be alive. God bless you CA.

My Roommate
My name is Donald (donnie)Burros ([email protected] [email protected] Ilive in Cumming , Ga 770-888-0689.
I roomed with Carter for our first 3 years at The Citadel. I knew him well and we lived thru many of the trials and tribulations of that great school. I think of Carter often and have been to D.C. and "rubbed" his name. I have told many people that I truly believe that he is still alive and in the jungle somewhere. He was just that stubborn !!! Carter and I shared much of our inner thoughts and feelings....I miss you and think of you often...I truly believe one day you will return
