my great uncle

I never got to meet my great uncle floyd but i grew up with stories of him from his childhood hood from his sister my grandmother i was just 6 the first time my family went to find his name on the wall i did not understand then what all the names ment i am now 34 a grown man and a firefighter this summer i had the honor along sied my fellow fire department members in honoring the those that gave all when the wall came to my home town i now understand what cost they paid for my freedom today for as long as there is breath in my lungs none of them will be forgotten god bless you all and for the kind words that others have left for my uncle i think you from the bottom of my heart
