Thank you Boats

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Donald Mullaly Horton, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and most holy sacrifice, given to this great country of ours!

Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!

Again, thank you Sailor, for a job well done!

FAIR WINDS, AND ETERNAL PEACE MY FRIEND

My Friend

I remember playing basketball in Coronado with my buddy. He use to show me drawings from his little newphew that was done in crayolas. Don loved life and made my life in Viet Nam a little easier to bear. I've spent over thirty years remembering him and telling my kids about him every memorial day.Don, you are not forgotten.

For Donnie

Donnie was my cousin. He was a quiet, kind and gentle boy. I understand that he was killed while ferrying ammunitions on a boat going up river. There was nothing left to bury. His mother Kathrine, father Royce, sister Donna, and his extened family morned his loss eternally. If there is a God, Donnie has a place with Him.
