Bronze Star Medal Award

PFC John E. Hopkins was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic and meritorious service. He served as a Medical NCO (Combat Medic) and died during a mission to rescue numerous wounded fellow soldiers. He was assigned tovHHC, 2ND BN, 18TH INFANTRY, 1ST INF DIV.
