We Will Remember

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

I remember ....

You, sharing letters you were writing to your father. You said he was a man of great influence, and could get you out of the field. You were always talking about how you HAD to get out of there but. Hopkins you always took charge in firefights there was no braver man. I was proud then to call you a friend at the bottom of 522 your weapon jammed but you traded Wrongway Cohen for his 45 and kept up the fight. It was you warned us of the incoming mortars. I did not know until I got home and out of the hospital that you had fallen. God Speed Hopkins. AATW
