Dear Sgt Linwood Holmes, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Today is Independence Day, and there is no better time to honor you. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your strength. Rest in peace with the angels.

I am the daughter of Sgt. Linwood M. Holmes. I have several posts on this website, as well as many other sites that honor Veterans. I am truly thankful to those who have reached out to me. In my heart, my Dad has always been a HERO. But to know that he has been someone else's HERO, is truly an honor and a Blessing. I do not take it for granted when individuals tell me about their experiences with my Dad. It actually warms my heart. Thank You ALL for your posts, emails, and all other communication.
