Reason for my being here
The widow of CWO Holloway penned what became a Thanksgiving op-ed for the Tampa Tribune on November 24, 1966. In it, she quotes a letter home from him, "This deal is enough to make one count his blessings and I have so many. I saw a woman and her two kids who had been shot to death by the Viet Cong and I decided that if I can help keep this type of thing away from you and my family then there is a reason for my being here."
