A Good Marine

Corporal Jeffrey Kay Hoagland was the third Platoon Squad Leader in Alfa Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines. He was a good Marine and a fine respected young man. I am proud to have served with him in Vietnam and I am grateful to have known him.
He will always be in my remembrances.

The Uncle I never Knew

I've only heard stories of him and seen pictures, but he died for his country long before I was thought of. When I go to visit my dad in Manassas we always go to see Jeff's name on the wall and visit the grave, and I always have to fight back the tears. I wish I could've gotten to know my uncle Jeff because I think he would be so proud of his neices and nephews. My brother is named after my uncle jeff so he's never forgotten. I think i look a lot like my uncle jeff and so does my little brother jeffrey kay. I know one day when i'm gone from this world i will go to heaven and finally meet my Uncle Jeff. Even though i never knew him i still love him very much.

Love your neice,
Laura Hoagland
