Dwight was a great guy
I worked with Dwight at a cement plant in Mason City Iowa shortly before he was drafted. He was very smart and friendly; fun to work with. I took him for a ride on my Honda CB160 with modified exhaust pipes, and he burned his leg. Oops.

Thank You
Dear Sp4 Dwight Hinman, Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist . I researched you on the 51st anniversary - May 19. Your 51st anniversary is soon, sad. This week is Flag Day, and there is no better way to respect the flag than respect all of you. Watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 Dwight Earl Hinman, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
