IN REMEMBRANCE OF A FINE YOUNG ARMY OFFICER WHOSE NAME SHALL LIVE FOR EVERMORE

1ST LIEUTENANT RONALD DICKERSON HINES WAS A DISTINGUISHED GRADUATE OF THE USMA IN THE CLASS OF 1961 WHO WAS ATTACHED TO MACV FROM 1963 UNTIL HIS UNTIMELY DEATH ON 4-26-1964. POSTHUMOUSLY HE WAS AWARDED THE SILVER STAR MEDAL AND THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL. IN ADDITION HE WAS ENTITLED TO WEAR THE COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE.
