You were such a wonderful role model.

As a young teen, I looked up to you, Eugene, in our church youth group. You were kind to everyone, and we appreciated the respect you offered us. When you returned in stillness from Vietnam to our church in Cleveland, we were devastated. Oh, how we grieved and mourned for you. Every Memorial Day, I think of you. When I went to the Wall in D.C., I asked Jesus to help me find your name. I did not want to look it up. Almost as soon as I asked, I saw your name. Thank God for his kindness. Thank God for you.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Eugene Hilton, Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist. I researched your on the 51st anniversary, sad. This week is Flag Day, and there is no better way to respect the flag than respect all of you. Watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels.

Missed & Never Forgotten

While in Washington in February my desire was fulfilled when I found your name. A photo of our 1965 Junior Prom was placed there. On Memorial Day I found your resting place here at home. You are fondly remembered and never forgotten.
