honoring you...
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

You are not forgotten uncle!
I wish I had gotten to know you. Daddy told me about you and was proud of you. I have the trunk that you made in school and some of your service medals. Now that daddy is gone too, I am comforted knowing you were there to meet him. I hope to meet you one day. Thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Rest easy. Much love~Pj

You will never be forgotten, uncle
I wish I had known you. My daddy spoke highly of you and gave me a trunk that you made and some of your service medals. He was so proud of you. Now that daddy is gone too, I know that you were there to greet him. I only wish I had more pictures and insight into who you were. Rest easy and thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Love, Pj
