do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You
Dear Sp4 Alfred Hildebrand, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. I researched you on the 51st anniversary of your tour start, sad. Memorial Day just passed when we honor and remember you. Please watch over the USA, it still needs your courage. Rest in peace with the angels.

Happy Birthday Alfred
I looked up information about the Vietnam Veterans Wall today and found the wall of Photos. I clicked on his photo and read about him. He was so handsome, young and looked very sweet. Then I noticed that today is his birthday and started crying. He only made it to 19 years old and died 3 months short of turning 20. My own son just turned 20 a week ago. How tragic that war takes so many young lives. He also died when my father was in Vietnam at age 37 as an EOD Army Officer. Today Alfred would have been 68 years old and he never lived all those years since Vietnam. God Bless you Alfred and sorry to your family for their loss.
