Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just seven days after your 24th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

Garry I miss your smiling face today and every day as the years pass it still seems like yesterday, that I received the news of your death. It still numbs my heart because you left me your sister alone, after losing Dale our sister in 1964 I couldn't bear the pain of now your loss. I do believe you both are with me inspirit and will one day be together once again. I'm so proud of the man you had become as a brother, friend and father. For ever in my heart. Your sister Terry Lynn
