Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT John Robert Bamvakais Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

know you from stories

I grew up loving someone I have never met. Odd as that sounds. I am your youngest sister. I feel that I know you through countless stories from our siblings and parents. I wish I could of known the man behind the stories.

My Loving Brother

John, Oh how I miss you, and how my world changed when you sacrificed your life for our freedom. I am so proud of you. I miss you, you are now in the company of Mom and Dad. We as a family struggle with our lives we need to remember the days when we were all whole. They were the best days. You take care of Mom and Dad and someday we will all be together again. Your loving sister, Dodie
