It has been many years since we met in California and talked all day and all night about our plans, when you were to return. I still have the letters you wrote to me. You are my hero Jimmy and you will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much for all you did to defend our country. I remember James coming into school to show off his uniform. He was so proud to be a marine. Rest In Peace James

I'm Jimmy's cousin. I was 11 years old when Jimmy passed and my memory of him has faded. Every year on Memorial Day weekend, I think of him and the life he would had led had he not passed so young. Even though my memory has faded, my love for him has grown. Thank you for your bravery and service to our country.
