THE WALL OF FACES

Herb was one of the pilots of the 2nd platoon. As a crew chief , I flew with him often. I remember him as an excellant pilot and a great individual. Herb was on my old ship (I rotated back to the states less than a week before)and I think of the crews often. Take comfort in knowing he died doing what he loved and what he thougth was right.

Herb was born in Hawaii, one of twelve children. By age 15 he was in MN where he finsihed high school and entered the military. He loved the miltary and wanted nothing more than to serve his country. He went to flight school at Ft Walters , TX and Ft Rucker, AL, finishing 2nd in his class .He was a great husband and father to myself and my children from a previous marriage.
