MACVSOG History - Those crazy canadians

Thank you for service - You may or may not know that Mr Hawes was not the only Canadian in MACVSOG - there are 2 more. I live close to where Mr Hawes is buried. I would like very much to get in touch with any family member or fellow S.F soldier that served with him. Thanks [email protected]

Uncle Willy

Thank you, Uncle Willy. I just found this site and it is great to know that some others have remembered you. You left too soon, I was only 14 and could not get to know you when I was older. I thought of you when I joined the army. I have been to your marker a few times but it is not quite the same as talking. I hope that you can hear what I say when I visit.

Thank You

Dear Sp4 Wayne Hawes,
Thank you for your service as a Special Forces Qualified Infantryman. Today is Easter Sunday and Passover. The war was years ago, but we all need to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
